Magnetism

There are three parts to magnetism: the electronic spin, quantum mechanical statistics, and electron-electron interactions. In summary, magnetism is a collective, quantum electrodynamic phenomenon. The challenge is now to describe magnetism from first principles using ab-initio simulations. In these tutorials, we will introduce how to model ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic materials with spin-polarization, DFT+U for magnetic systems, noncollinear calculations, and magnetic anisotropy.
