We have an opening for a fully-funded Ph.D. position for immediate hiring at the South Dakota School Mines, Physics.
The candidate is expected to get involved in interdisciplinary research on developing magnetic nanocomposites — materials optimization and materials processing using stress-annealing and characterization.
The ideal candidate would be a US citizen or permanent resident —some of the research may involve visiting NASA Glenn Center and collaborating with scientists over there. However, international candidates will also be considered.
The student will have an opportunity to work with Paudel’s group at the Physics Department for materials computations and optimization and Bruno’s group at the Mechanical Engineering Department for synthesis, processing, and characterization.
The ideal applicant will be immediately processed. For detail, contact tula.paudel@sdsmt.edu or nickolaus.bruno@sdsmt.edu
